You should be left with something like this: Please note that I've only stripped the wires a tiny bit. You'll see why in the next step. When I do these cables, I connect the ground shield to the left "post" on the circuitboard, then bridge it to pin 6 with some solder as you can see in the photo.
After you've finished this, you can try to stuff it back into the GC connector housing. If you do, be sure to cover your work with electrical tape and provide some strain relief on the cable.
I end up using a small project box to enclose the electronics. I don't have any fancy pictures for this method but it should be self-explanatory.

This is opposite for how the original Game Boy Advance shoulder buttons are pressed. Those are activated when pressing near the sides of the unit. The battery lasts five to eight hours depending on the screen brightness. There currently exists only one workaround.
Maybe a future update to Goomba Color will allow hot swapping between the Game Boy Advance flash cart which boots the emulator , and the physical copy of the Game Boy or Game Boy Color game that you want to play, but that may be wishful thinking for a 14 year old handheld. Just remember, it is a little more expensive, it is a little less ergonomic, it has a mushy D-pad, and it lacks compatibility with physical GB and GBC cartridges.
